How French Baskets make their handmade baskets

STEP 1 :
Supplies TO MAKE Moroccan Baskets

• DoumDoum palm leaf :the leaves are picked up each time their fruit is picked, the dates.
• Cook sheep or cow :our leather comes from natural tanning without odor.
• Sheep wool :virgin wool

STEP 2 :
THE CRAFT MANUFACTURE OF THE BASKET SHELLS

We offer basket shell models to women who live in villages around Marrakech.
They weaves each basket hull by hand. Most of the time in winter, when they have less work on their farm and in their fields.

STEP 3 :
STORAGE OF BASKETS
IN OUR WORKSHOP IN MARRAKECH

All basket hulls made by women
are sorted, washed and dried then stored in our workshop
to prepare them to be transformed for all our different creations

STEP 4 :
DESIGN AND CREATION
BY FRENCH BASKETS

Karine creates each basket herself in her
Creation Workshop. She chooses the forms of Baskets, the leather handles or accessories that will go on each French Baskets basket.

MANUFACTURE OF OUR BASKETS

All our baskets are accessorized by hand in our workshop in Marrakech.
Our craftsmen have a great experience of leather and sewing work and love a job well done.

STEP 6 :
CONTROL OF OUR PRODUCTS BEFORE THEY ARE SHIPPED WORLDWIDE

When orders are finished, we go through each basket to check the quality twice.
